About us

Bichlhof dates back to the founding of the resort of Mallnitz. It was built in the era of the great European railway construction in the early twentieth century, for the „jet set” of the Roaring Twenties.

In the early '70s the hotel became a popular place for school groups, mainly from Great Britain and Austria. Today it is completely renovated and still hosts mainly young visitors, school groups and athletes.

The hotel is centrally located and meets the Austrian three-star standard. Nordic walking and hiking trails, as well as cross-country ski tracks, start right at the hotel. In winter, the free ski bus to the Ankogel slopes and to the Mölltal Glacier in neighbouring Flattach stops practically in front of the house.

Hotel facilities

The hotel was fully redecorated and refurbished in 2010–2011. It offers several dining rooms, a comfortable lobby, a fitness room and a wellness area with steam sauna, plus the hotel's „Gameland” and disco. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire building; there is also a heated ski room and a parking lot with video surveillance.

Rooms

The rooms are newly furnished in rustic style, with bunk beds for 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 persons. Every room has a bathroom with toilet, a mini fridge and a TV; most rooms also have a balcony.
